Biography

Andrew Simpson is an accomplished trial attorney who has zealously advanced the interests of his clients for over three decades. During these years, Mr. Simpson has successfully collected millions of dollars for victims of negligence through settlements and jury verdicts.

Mr. Simpson has been first chair in numerous jury trials, including catastrophic motor vehicle crash cases, motorcycle collision cases, truck accident cases, pedestrian accidents, premises liability cases, medical malpractice cases, and claims against governmental entities that have required a thorough understanding of the laws of sovereign immunity and its interplay with insurance law. Mr. Simpson has spent decades finding sources of insurance coverage for those harmed by others through no fault of their own.

Mr. Simpson has a broad range of experience in multiple disciplines and areas of practice, including the representation of professionals and businesses involved in commercial litigation, individuals and corporations seeking bankruptcy protection and creditors seeking to enforce rights in the bankruptcy courts of the Commonwealth. Mr. Simpson uses his broad range of skills and experience to serve families with a loved one who has been catastrophically injured or killed through the negligence or recklessness of others.

As a proud member of a legal profession he loves, Mr. Simpson has served for many years on the Alexandria Judicial Screening Committee to assure the most qualified candidates ascend to the bench, and he has lobbied the Virginia General Assembly on behalf of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Simpson is actively involved in his community, has regularly engaged in pro bono legal work on behalf of the indigent, and has served for many years as a Fairfax County Public Schools volunteer and youth basketball coach where he was recently honored with the “Most Valuable Coach” award by his fellow coaches in the Division 1, Fairfax County Fifth Grade Boys Select Basketball League.
